Hello Chicago!

Okay so I know this is a super late blog post about my visit to Chicago a few weeks ago before heading back home to Philippines. But anyway, here goes!

Last stop, Chicago!

Who could forget a 12hr drive to Chicago from Virginia on Valentines day? While other couples are out dating and having romantic lunchies and candle lit dinner. Me and boyfie spent Valentines day driving to Chicago to meet up with friends since our flight got canceled ‘cuz of the snowstorm. It was one of my longest road trips ever! Loved it! =)

Chicago’s very own skyscraper, Willis Tower.

Hello freezing Chicago! Hehe!

Look! Docs! hehe!

The famous Cloud Gate at the Millennium Park. Then again, I always see this in movies. Can’t believe it! =)

Can you find me? Hihi!

Now why would anyone forget about dropping by to see Michael Jordan’s statue right outside United Center?

Overall, Chicago was the coldest place I have ever been in my entire life! I cannot explain how cold it was during my visit. But anyway, I really had fun, like reaaally had fun. I like to party… a lot, haha! And I think Chicago’s party scene was one of the best I’ve ever been to. We also got to meet some new friends which is one of the best parts of traveling in different places.

On my way home to Philippines, I sat next to a Filipina, (Thank God I had someone to talk to during the flight to Japan) she was in her 60’s but she really didn’t look her age. I guess age doesn’t really matter when you’re happy. Hehe! She was on her way home to visit her father who was sick. I could tell she was a very happy person inside and out ‘cuz of the way she talked to me about life and how we should all spend it. As cliche as it may sound, we only live once and that’s a fact. She told me she was glad I could travel and see new places and things while I’m still young.

She said that people need to travel the world in order for us to broaden our horizons, experience new culture, meet new people and a chance to look at life in a different perspective. You become more open-minded and flexible.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain

New York: Part 2

Got my second chance to see New York. Thanks to boyfie for driving. Hihi! Ugh! I wish I had a permit to drive here. Oh well..

Anyway, little random facts about me: I always carry a little notebook with me everywhere I go. I really like writing things down using pen and paper instead of using my phone. I really think it’s a lot easier and if you needed to write down something you can just whip out your pocket notebook and start writing. Who’s with me on this? Hehe! So, unlike mobile phones, you have to unlock it, tap on somewhere where you can type out notes and go through a lot of typographical errors from those qwerty keypads… I hate qwerty.

The reason I shared that random fact about me is that the last time we were in NYC, I didn’t really get to see all of the tourist-y spots I listed down on my little notebook. Well, not that I did the second time, but at least we went out to see a different spot. So every time I manage to visit a place that’s on my list of “places to go”, I cross it out of my list. =)

But although I didn’t manage to see all of them yet… Well, there is always a next time. *wink*

Enjoy this photo flooded post! =)

Sunrise taken around 7 in the morning.

Hello again, New Jersey!

We were sooo lucky we arrived in NYC at a beautiful weather! A little warm than the usual. Maybe that’s why everyone was out walking and jogging aside from the thousands of people arriving for the upcoming super bowl on sunday that week. Ugh! At night, it was total chaos!

Snowy Central park. Beautiful!

Hey there cutie! =)

So Reminds me of Maid in Manhattan, Gossip Girl and Friends with Benefits. Haha! Ang corny ko lang. =p

Don’t know about this smile. Lol

Times Square was a lot different from the last time I came. This time, it was total chaos ‘cuz of the upcoming super bowl. Hundreds of people were in Times Square waiting and cheering for their favorite athletes to be interviewed in Fox Sports. No offense but we weren’t really there for the super bowl since we’re not a fan of the game so we decided to just hangout somewhere else. #Hashtag #IJustDontGetIt

One of y most awaited parts of my visit was to see the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Yaaay!

Now for the fun part! Celebrating Chinese New year at New York City, Chinatown!

Oh yeah!

Confetti everywhere!

As you can see, everyone was having a blast. As I have said in my IG post, “Such a beautiful day in NYC! Always amazes me how you can easily meet and talk to new people. People who came all the way from different parts of the world… All in one place.” It was an amazing experience!

I just had to get my picture taken sitting on the ground. Hehe!

This little cutie had so much fun trying to catch confetti!

Well, time to head home before it gets dark. =)

Beautiful twilight sky!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed chatting about my second trip to NYC. =)

Rodeo Drive

It was a perfect sunny day to go on a tour around the beautiful city of Los Angeles. Perfect day to wear this dress without worrying too much about the weather. I just threw on a leather jacket and a pair of boots to keep me warm on a slightly cold weather in L.A.

So this is what I wore during our one day tour around Los Angeles. Boyfie was like, “Seriously… you’re wearing a dress?” Why not? hehe!

So on our tour, we had to ride a hop-on-hop-off tour bus to get around the famous spots in L.A and those buses had 2nd floors so yeah, maybe that made him ask me if I was really gonna wear a dress. Haha! Anyway, I was actually freezing my face out in the cold wind I couldn’t feel my cheeks anymore and even gave me a runny nose without being aware. I know, gross.. Haha!

Really had so much fun during my visit to L.A! Still cannot believe it! =)

Fashionbandwagon goes to Los Angeles

Oops… Sorry guys! This will be another blogpost flooded with photos from my recent trip to Los Angeles. I have no idea on how to break down the number of photos I have been wanting to show to you.

Did you ever had that feeling of wanting to just upload a few photos but having a really hard time picking out the best ones since you took like… what? Thousands of photos in just one place? That’s what I felt while I was doing this blog post. Hmph… Anyway, here it goes… =)

Good morning! We are so ready for a loooong road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles!

Look at that view! Indescribable… Simply breathtaking.

I was glad we took a road trip going to L.A. I got to see more of west coast and a good look at its nature aside from the cities itself.

First breakfast in Los Angeles. I love a good all-american diner. Goodbye diet! =p

Skywriting!

Ever heard one of those Filipino jokes wherein you’re eating something so good you end up forgetting your own name? Haha! Then you have got to try Juicy Burger when you visit L.a. It was sooo good! This was right across Eva Longoria’s restaurant, Beso. Hehe!

Oh, Hello Hollywood Blvd. =)

The famous House of Blues.

I love milkshakes so I was pretty bummed I wasn’t able to try Millions of Milkshakes. =(

And of course, how could anyone forget about Rodeo Dr.?

Sorry, I just had to include this Bugatti. Haha!

Cheesecake break at no other that the Cheesecake Factory. And some milkshake as well. hehe! =)

Oh. Hi bibiboy. Hehe!

You guys know how much I love the movie Pretty Woman. Finally got to see the actual Beverly Wilshire! =)

Beautiful sunset!

This is so beautiful and I know I have seen this in a movie but I can’t remember which one. Let me know… Hehe!

Another street food in L.A which I have been craving for up until now. These were the best! Boyfie and I even tried making one of these hoping we’d be able to replicate everything from its taste and how it looks. Haha! Not even close. =p

Yes, I am a huge fan! =p

So when did Spiderman had his own sidekick?

Don’t tell me you don’t recognize any of them? Hehe!

Hope you enjoyed this blogpost guys! Mwah! =)

Fashionbandwagon goes to Singapore

Another photo dump from my recent trip to Singapore two weeks ago.. I know, major backlog. haha!

Enjoy! =)

image

Our flight was around 8 o’clock in the evening so we had a chance to look at the beautiful city lights of Cebu City. I miss Cebu so much! I wish I was still in college. Haha!

imageimageimage

It was actually pretty funny when we got to Singapore, we didn’t know it was Singapore Grand Prix. A lot of the roads were closed so we had to take long walks just to get from one place to another. Got suuuuper tired! My feet were killing me.

imageimage

Rode the cable car going to Sentosa.

imageimageimageimageimage

Call me crazy but this Transformers ride was the highlight of my whole visit to Singapore. Haha! Too bad the Battlestar Galactica roller coaster has been shut down for months already.

imageimage

Yummy ice cream cookie sandwich!

image

Another highlight from my trip to Universal Studios Singapore was the Waterworld. It’s a live water show based on a film starring Kevin Costner. Waterworld is actually one of my favorite movies of all time.

image

Pretty lanterns at the Chinatown food street. I just had the best spicy crabs here. Sorry I forgot to take photos. Huhu..

Anyway, that would be all for now guys. This is just a little travel update from my first trip to Singapore. =)

Have a great weekend!
