New York: Part 2

Got my second chance to see New York. Thanks to boyfie for driving. Hihi! Ugh! I wish I had a permit to drive here. Oh well..

Anyway, little random facts about me: I always carry a little notebook with me everywhere I go. I really like writing things down using pen and paper instead of using my phone. I really think it’s a lot easier and if you needed to write down something you can just whip out your pocket notebook and start writing. Who’s with me on this? Hehe! So, unlike mobile phones, you have to unlock it, tap on somewhere where you can type out notes and go through a lot of typographical errors from those qwerty keypads… I hate qwerty.

The reason I shared that random fact about me is that the last time we were in NYC, I didn’t really get to see all of the tourist-y spots I listed down on my little notebook. Well, not that I did the second time, but at least we went out to see a different spot. So every time I manage to visit a place that’s on my list of “places to go”, I cross it out of my list. =)

But although I didn’t manage to see all of them yet… Well, there is always a next time. *wink*

Enjoy this photo flooded post! =)

Sunrise taken around 7 in the morning.

Hello again, New Jersey!

We were sooo lucky we arrived in NYC at a beautiful weather! A little warm than the usual. Maybe that’s why everyone was out walking and jogging aside from the thousands of people arriving for the upcoming super bowl on sunday that week. Ugh! At night, it was total chaos!

Snowy Central park. Beautiful!

Hey there cutie! =)

So Reminds me of Maid in Manhattan, Gossip Girl and Friends with Benefits. Haha! Ang corny ko lang. =p

Don’t know about this smile. Lol

Times Square was a lot different from the last time I came. This time, it was total chaos ‘cuz of the upcoming super bowl. Hundreds of people were in Times Square waiting and cheering for their favorite athletes to be interviewed in Fox Sports. No offense but we weren’t really there for the super bowl since we’re not a fan of the game so we decided to just hangout somewhere else. #Hashtag #IJustDontGetIt

One of y most awaited parts of my visit was to see the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Yaaay!

Now for the fun part! Celebrating Chinese New year at New York City, Chinatown!

Oh yeah!

Confetti everywhere!

As you can see, everyone was having a blast. As I have said in my IG post, “Such a beautiful day in NYC! Always amazes me how you can easily meet and talk to new people. People who came all the way from different parts of the world… All in one place.” It was an amazing experience!

I just had to get my picture taken sitting on the ground. Hehe!

This little cutie had so much fun trying to catch confetti!

Well, time to head home before it gets dark. =)

Beautiful twilight sky!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed chatting about my second trip to NYC. =)

I Heart NYC

Oasap leggings/ Urban Outfitters boots

Quick ootd post and it’s another one from my New York trip. This was our last day in New York so we headed straight to the Empire State Building to get a glimpse of the New York Skyline early in morning since we got lucky enough that it didn’t get too foggy that day. Anyway, if you guys haven’t read my post about my trip to NYC, read about it here.

So about the look, I was actually wearing the same jacket over and over during the whole trip. Well, simply because it was the only jacket I felt warm and comfortable in and it matched every piece that I wanted to bring with me for the trip. I know, eww gross.. haha!

Have blast everyone! =) Mwah!

Lady Liberty

Finally, a new ootd update! Good thing I don’t have to break down hundreds of photos into a few sets to create an ootd blogpost. Whew! I can’t imagine how travel bloggers select the best ones from thousands of photos they snap each place that they go to.

Anyway, If you guys have seen my recent blogpost about my trip to New York City, I guess you have seen half of my ootd by then. Well, here’s the rest of my outfit. Hehe!image image Forever21 knit pullover and jacket/ H&M infinity scarf

So I know a lot of us love to travel. Like, duh… Who doesn’t? And of course, in our generation, bringing along our very own trusty cameras and a camera-equipped cellphone is a self requirement nowadays. I realized that every place on earth is so beautiful that sometimes you just have to forget about taking so much photos on your camera. Instead, try admiring it through your naked eyes.

Boyfie always tells me to relax, enjoy every moment and stop taking too much photos every time we’re out travelling. He said I tend to get so annoying from snapping too much photos and forgetting about why we were there in the first place…And oh, according to him, I always end up ignoring him as well. Haha! Anyway, I took his advice and left my camera at the hotel for one day and just snapped photos using my phone if I really needed to.

So yeah, I did it… And yes, It really is better to witness the beauty first-hand with your own eyes. He even asked me how I felt having all the freedom to admire every place without taking out my camera all the time. Not to mention excess baggage. Hehe! Ugh! His positiveness is so annoying it amazes me. Whyyyyy can’t I be like that? I have to be like that! Haha!

You guys should really try it as well! Try doing photographic memories instead. It also helps you improve your memory. Hehe!

Hello New York!

Had a blast with boyfie last week on our road trip to New York. We got there around 10 in the morning and headed straight to see Lady Liberty.  We actually picked the perfect day to arrive in New York. The sun was out, clear skies. Perfect time to do a short day tour.

imageimageimage The ferry heading to the Statue of Liberty had to stop by a nearby island called Ellis Island which was the gateway for millions of immigrants to the United States. It was used as an immigrant inspection station from 1892 to 1954.

Anyone who visits New York should never miss a chance to try out their local food carts. You can find them at almost every corner on every street in times square.

One of the best food cart meals I have ever had.

I took so many photos I don’t know which one to share to you guys! I can’t just pick one.. Hehe!

The famous red steps on Times Square.

Oh yeah, Cake Boss! Not really a fan of cakes for dessert but their cheesecakes were uh-mazing!

imageimageimage

Now who would want to eat these? Look at it! It looks too good to be eaten. Hehe!

On the 102nd floor observation deck of the Empire State Building!

This was on our last day in New York since we got lucky the sky cleared out after 2 days of non-stop raining so we decided to visit the Empire State Building.

image

Uh! So beautiful I almost cried!

The New York Times building is sooo pretty!

The famous New York City yellow cabs! =)

At the Rockefeller Center.

“Fools Rush In” starring Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry is one of my old favorite movies and that’s where I first heard about Gray’s Papaya hotdogs.

image

This is what we had for breakfast. Me and boyfie had 2 hotdogs each! Hehe!

imageimage

A whole wall of colorful M&M chocolates!

image

And of course, Serendipity 3. Hehe! You know what’s funny? We actually saw Serendipity 3 in Las Vegas but I told boyfie that I really have to try the one in New York where the actual film was shot. Haha!

Yes, I’m a sucker for chick flicks! Hehe!

image

By the time the waiter approached our table and asked what we would like to have he was already suggesting that we order the Frozen Hot Chocolate which was obviously what they are famous for.

It was so good! No wonder people line up outside just to get tables.

A miniature Lego replica of the Rockefeller Center! So cute! I even saw Darth Vader playing golf on the roof top. Haha!

So that wraps up this blog post. New York has always been one of my dream destinations since I was little. I literally cried when I first saw Times Square. I was having a hard time taking it all in. That I am finally right in front of something I have only seen in the movies. Haha!

Okay, I’m starting to sound like a loser. Lol

Have a great week guys! Mwah!
