Makeup tutorial: Party Look

As promised.. Here is another makeup tutorial. I think i would call this one the “party look”. I also did this makeup when i attended FSUU’s Fuzzion event. I just had to redo the whole look so i can do a makeup tutorial for you guys. =)

My last makeup tutorial was last year i think and i pretty much use the same stuff until now. =)

Get this look!

Start scrolling down.. =)

image

I’m using Mac 187 stippling brush to apply my foundation. Here I’m using Benefit’s Hello Flawless foundation in Ivory. To set my foundation i’m using Mac’s select sheer pressed powder in NC20.

About the foundation: I was never impressed, period. Or maybe the foundation wasn’t just for my skin type. I tried to give it a chance and used it again, twice! Still didn’t work for me. It didn’t have that much coverage as i wanted. I still go back to my Revlon Colorstay. =)

image

Apply blush!

Here i’m using Bobbi Brown in Pale Pink. Applied it using an angled blush brush from Mac in 168.

image

Apply eye primer.

I’m using Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. Let it set, then apply the base colour for the eyeshadow. Here i used Mac in shroom

image

I added more shimmer into my eyeshadow to make it look more dramatic. Using my finger, i applied Stila eyeshadow in Moonlight.

image

Add some colour into your pretty peepers!

I’m still using my Urban Decay Naked Palette just like my last makeup tutorial.

Using Mac’s 217 brush, my favorite brush by the way. Hehe! Take the colour Smog and apply all over the lid except for the brow bone area.

image

Using a crease brush, this one i got from a random store in Bangkok. The brand is Magique in M011. Apply the colour Darkhorse on the outer corners of your eye and on the inner half as well.

Blend it well!

image

Using the same brush. I apply a bit of the colour, Creep on the outer corner. Remember, just the outer corner. I do this to create a darker shadow effect on the corners of my eyes which will also create an illusion of having bigger eyes. =)

image

Next up, use a smudger brush. I’m usuing Smashbox’s 20 smudger brush. Take the colour, Smog and apply it on your lower lash line starting from the outer corner to the center of your lower lashline.

You can apply a darker shade if you want to. =)

image

Now for the eyeliner. My fave! Majolica Majorca’s liquid liner

A little trick i do to have perfectly drawn eyeliner:

Line… wing it… connect and fill it in. =D

image

Time to apply some mascara!

For this look, i used Dior’s Diorshow waterproof mascara for more thick-looking lashes.

And oh, don’t forget to curl them first. =)

image

Add more drama into your look and put on some lashes!

I like to cut my falsies into half. I think they’re much easier to apply when they’re cut into halves.

image

Using another angled brush, this one is from Charm Pro. I got them from Zalora.ph. Its just a simple angled brush i use to apply bronzer.

Excuse the icky Nars packaging. Don’t you just hate Nars’ product packaging. It tends to get all sticky and icky. Ugh! Haha! Let me know if this happens to your Nars packaging as well. =)

Anyway, for my bronzer, i use Nars bronzer in Sertao. Apply it on the lower half of your cheeks just halfway thru the hollows of your cheeks and up to your temples.

You can also apply some highlighters if you want to. =)

image

Last but not the least.. Lippies! =)

Here i used Miners lipstick in Icon (i think..). Topped it off with Nyx soft matte lip cream in Antwerp

And i’m done! =)

I really hope you guys love this look i’ve created!

Till my next tutorial!

Stephanie

Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial

So as promised, here’s a quick tutorial on how I do my everyday makeup. I actually have two looks that i love to alternate. But for this tutorial I’ll be doing the black smokey eye makeup. So this is basically my “Everyday” makeup routine. =)

First off…

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

I love how this primer holds up your makeup from day to night. No wonder a lot of people rave about this primer. Its definitely worth every cent.

Apply primer potion all over the lid including brow bone.

Using an eyeshadow primer will keep your eye makeup in place and prevents it from creasing.

For this tutorial, I’ll be using the Urban Decay NAKED palette.

Here, I’m using SIN (champagne color) as my base color for my smokey eye makeup.

Tap out excess powder to avoid fall-outs then apply the color all over the lid.

Next up, apply CREEP (black) on the outer corners of the eye and on the inner half as well. Blend it out to darken your eye makeup and create a smokey effect.

As you can see I’m using the same eye shadow brush for the base color and for blending. Its because i think this brush just does all the job and I’m very comfortable with it. Its the Mac #217 brush. Besides, this is just a simple everyday look, i don’t think i need to use a lot of different brushes. Lol.

Apply DARKHORSE (brown) along the lower lash line starting from the outer corners up to the center of the lower lash line.

I prefer browns on my lower lash line since it looks more natural compared to a black eyeshadow.

Using my favorite eyeliner from Majolica Majorca.

This.I.Love! This liquid eye liner stays on for 24hrs. Believe me. =p

I like to use the end of my brows as a guide to where i want my eyeliner to end.

Creating a winged tip line, connect it to the outer corner of the eye making a little triangle.

Fill it in.

You can also make it as long or as short as you like. Really depends on how you prefer it.

To line my waterline I’m using the Mac power point eye pencil in Stubborn Brown.

Line your water line.

Using Proofit waterproof mascara.

This one is also my faaave. I can’t live without this mascara. I actually got this from Sasa in Hongkong, so i don’t really know if we have this here. This mascara really makes my lashes look longer and thicker. Definitely recommend this!

Don’t forget to curl your lashes before applying mascara.

Apply mascara on your lower lashes too.

Yes, i know… I have really sparse eyelashes. It has always been like this. Huhuuu…

I used Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink on my cheeks and on my lips, i have on Mac  in Chatterbox.

And I’m done!

Products I used:

Urban Decay NAKED palette
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Majolica Majorca liquid liner
Proofit waterproof mascara
Mac powerpoint eye pencil in Stubborn Brown
Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink
Mac lipstick in Chatterbox

You don’t really have to buy whatever product that’s in this tutorial. I’m sure you’ll find something similar or just about any neutral eyeshadow palette will definitely work.

This is actually my first makeup tutorial and I really hope you guys liked it! ❤

Stephanie
