Say It Loud. Say It Proud

Funny thing was, I really had no idea when to celebrate the chinese new year. All I know was that it was on the month of February. Lol Anyway, I just realized it by the time we got to Chinatown when hundreds of people came to visit the place and started buying dozens of confetti cannons and popping them right off the streets. I was like, oh my God! That’s right! It’s Chinese New Year! Haha!image image image image

Rarelove Jewelry statement necklace

Another one of the many statement necklaces that Rarelove Jewelry has to offer. This one is my actual favorite ‘cuz of its size and the pastel colored stones around it.

This is why I love statement necklaces so much. They make every outfit look simply well put together without over accessorizing.

image Perfect timing I must say! So lucky that I got to experience my first Chinese New Year outside the Philippines. It was definitely one of the most amazing experiences I had during my visit to NYC. Me and boyfie had so much fun. We’ll never forget the 2 for $5 confetti cannons. hehe!

So about my look… I just literally had to throw anything inside my overnight bag without thinking on what the weather would be like by the time we get to our destination. Hihi! And of course, being the sweatshirt lover that I am, I had to wear this on the second day hoping that it would keep me warm incase the weather drops its temperature. Guess what? Thank God the weather was beautiful, a perfect day to celebrate the New Year!

That’s it for now guys! Hope you enjoyed this blogpost! =)

New York: Part 2

Got my second chance to see New York. Thanks to boyfie for driving. Hihi! Ugh! I wish I had a permit to drive here. Oh well..

Anyway, little random facts about me: I always carry a little notebook with me everywhere I go. I really like writing things down using pen and paper instead of using my phone. I really think it’s a lot easier and if you needed to write down something you can just whip out your pocket notebook and start writing. Who’s with me on this? Hehe! So, unlike mobile phones, you have to unlock it, tap on somewhere where you can type out notes and go through a lot of typographical errors from those qwerty keypads… I hate qwerty.

The reason I shared that random fact about me is that the last time we were in NYC, I didn’t really get to see all of the tourist-y spots I listed down on my little notebook. Well, not that I did the second time, but at least we went out to see a different spot. So every time I manage to visit a place that’s on my list of “places to go”, I cross it out of my list. =)

But although I didn’t manage to see all of them yet… Well, there is always a next time. *wink*

Enjoy this photo flooded post! =)

Sunrise taken around 7 in the morning.

Hello again, New Jersey!

We were sooo lucky we arrived in NYC at a beautiful weather! A little warm than the usual. Maybe that’s why everyone was out walking and jogging aside from the thousands of people arriving for the upcoming super bowl on sunday that week. Ugh! At night, it was total chaos!

Snowy Central park. Beautiful!

Hey there cutie! =)

So Reminds me of Maid in Manhattan, Gossip Girl and Friends with Benefits. Haha! Ang corny ko lang. =p

Don’t know about this smile. Lol

Times Square was a lot different from the last time I came. This time, it was total chaos ‘cuz of the upcoming super bowl. Hundreds of people were in Times Square waiting and cheering for their favorite athletes to be interviewed in Fox Sports. No offense but we weren’t really there for the super bowl since we’re not a fan of the game so we decided to just hangout somewhere else. #Hashtag #IJustDontGetIt

One of y most awaited parts of my visit was to see the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Yaaay!

Now for the fun part! Celebrating Chinese New year at New York City, Chinatown!

Oh yeah!

Confetti everywhere!

As you can see, everyone was having a blast. As I have said in my IG post, “Such a beautiful day in NYC! Always amazes me how you can easily meet and talk to new people. People who came all the way from different parts of the world… All in one place.” It was an amazing experience!

I just had to get my picture taken sitting on the ground. Hehe!

This little cutie had so much fun trying to catch confetti!

Well, time to head home before it gets dark. =)

Beautiful twilight sky!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed chatting about my second trip to NYC. =)
